Zakaat Al-Fitr
Mandatory charity
Zakat al-Fitr is an obligatory charity. All Muslims are obliged to spend it to validate and cleanse their fasts during the month of Ramadan. It is spent by the head of the family for each dependent family member and also for those who do not fast such as babies.
